Bill Gates is on Twitter and has new site!

Finally Bill Gates has taken the plunge and jumped on to Twitter. This would be interesting. His first tweet "Hello World. Hard at work on my foundation letter - publishing on 1/25," was enough to get him 230,00 followers. You can find his account at http://twitter.com/BILLGATES.

He has been following other people on Twitter which indicates that he is not taking this lightly. He is following QueenRania, Vinod Khosla, Ashley Tisdale and Ryan Seacrest amongst others. Interestingly Bill Gates joined Facebook but pulled out. It is not easy managing yourself on the social networks Mr. Bill Gates is it? I would love to see more creators of the social networking sites on these social media sites and see how they handle the work. Will their productivity decrease. In the short run the productivity will take a hit but it will get better as they progress. What do you guys think?

Though his profile has a link to  http://www.gatesfoundation.org/ for those who want more Bill Gates has come up with a website at www.thegatesnotes.com. Bill Gates intends to use the website to share his thoughts and what he is doing.

All this is part of the new initiative of being more ‘open’ on the Internet. It is great to note that Mr. Bill Gates is all for using technology to get rid of the evils of the world.
